Recently, with the approval of the competent authorities, the Company's Shao Kou Island Crew Training School successfully obtained the qualification certification for a second-level fishery crew training institution. On June 6th, the first offshore position crew training course with the approved qualification was held.
This training course offered 7 classes: Assistant Chief Mate, Second Chief Mate, Third Officer, Second Officer, Assistant Chief Mate on Board, Second Chief Mate on Board, and Third Chief Engineer. A total of 200 offshore position crew members from Haifu Company and social fishery units, as well as shipowners, participated in the training, and the results were very satisfactory.
Training site one
The Ship Crew Training School on Shaowo Island was established in 2022. The school has complete facilities and equipment, a strong teaching staff, a sound management system, and a standardized training curriculum system. The school has theoretical training classrooms, practical training areas, simulation training rooms, etc. The teaching equipment, practical tools, and safety protection facilities are all complete, covering ship fire-fighting equipment, water survival equipment, mechanical equipment, navigation and communication equipment, fishery vessel simulation operation devices and related items. A professional and competent teaching team with rich teaching experience has been formed, capable of precisely implementing various training courses for crew members, meeting the standards for training instructors for fishery crew members. Various systems and quality control systems for fishery crew training management, teaching management, student management, safety protection, and file management have been established to ensure the standardized and normalized operation of the training. A scientific and reasonable training course plan has been formulated, covering basic safety training, professional skills training for crew members, and specialized training for distant-water fishing, emphasizing both theory and practical operation.

The Ship Crew Training School on Shaowo Island has been approved to obtain the qualification of a second-level fishery crew training institution. This is of great significance for further improving the educational quality of the school, expanding the social influence of the Shaowo Island National Oceanic Fishery Base, enhancing the professional skills and safety level of the local crew members, and facilitating the high-quality development of the local fishery industry.
